What is Xanax?
It is a drug used in managing anxiety and panic disorders.
It belongs to benzodiazepines like diazepam, lorazepam, and midazolam.
Xanax works by slowing down the abnormal excitement in the brain by boosting the effect of a kind of neurotransmitters called GABA (Gama Amino-butyric acid).
