  • Family or personal history of drug or alcohol addiction.
  • Liver or kidney diseases.
  • Narrow-angle glaucoma or uncontrolled open-angle glaucoma.
  • Arteriosclerosis (a condition that decreases the blood flow to the brain).
  • Low levels of a certain protein in blood called albumin.

A list of things that you shouldn’t do while using Valium:

  • Operating machinery.
  • Using another benzodiazepine drug together with Valium.
  • Drinking alcohol.
  • Drinking grapefruit juice or eating grapefruit.
  • Using the drug without referring to a doctor.
  • Stopping the drug suddenly without tapering (gradual decrease of the dose to avoid withdrawal symptoms).
  • Pregnancy or planning for pregnancy.
  • Use Valium if you are 65 years or above.
  • Increasing the dose on your own.
  • Increasing the treatment duration on your own.

Valium overdose:

If you overdosed Valium you will pass through some undesired and fatal side effects such as:

  • Upset stomach.
  • Muscle weakness.
  • Decreased blood pressure.
  • Respiratory failure.
  • Coma that may lead to death.
